Finding Lost
TV April 25th, 2008

Hehehe. New episode of Lost premiered last night.
If you’re a fan of the show, you probably have a lot of theories or questions (most likely the latter). I just wanted to pass along this site: Lost: A Theory on Time Travel. A fun site to kill some time reading. The writer presents a very good case, and I find it very entertaining and thought provoking. I wouldn’t go so far as to say that he’s spoiling the rest of the series, but shows us another way to go back and watch the series over again in a different view as well as giving the fans something to debate and mull over.
I won’t go over every single detail of the show… there’s just so much. Let the Lost Wiki Page do that for you.

Ooooh… this one looks good.
EDIT: Oh yeah, I just read this post on one of my favorite authors, George R. R. Martin’s, blog. He does a great job summarizing the Super Bowl, one of the greatest games I’ve ever seen in my life. Hehehe, and he does some nice comparisons to ASOIAF characters.
Blaaaahhhh. I’m just totally gonna write any random thing that comes to my head. I didn’t have any topic on hand that I really wanted to go into. Well I do have some ideas. I’m just being totally lazy about it. Some stuff I want to write about: Atonement, season 6 of The Shield, cute bunny rabbits, trip to Europe, the past weekend, and more on Fables. Blah blah blah blah… seriously, I’m trying to write for like at least 5 minutes without stopping and trying to not sounds like a total nut case. I wonder what it’s like to go sky diving. It looks awesome. I had met this guy who does jumps for the military and he talked about a time when he did a jump while nude and when he landed, poured a beer into a mug. Crazy, huh? I am totally at a lost now what to talk about. stuff stuff stuff stuff stuff stuff……… this is harder than it looks. And I’ll be pretty surprised if I do this without a lot of spelling and grammar errors. This is a really long 5 minutes… Ok, I’m cheating. I’m stopping for about 10 seconds between every 2-3 sentences to watch the Office. That show is freaking hilarious. Stupid writer’s strike. They do deserve royalties though for DVD sales and digital downloads. See how many shows have halted due to not having writers? Gah…. The current book I’m reading is The Children of Hurin. My friend got it for me for Christmas. It’s good so far. Kind of a different level of reading. Morgoth sounds really evil. To pretty much curse someone’s descendants through sheer will power; EVIL. Speaking of LotR, I’ve been getting back into Battle For Middle Earth II. Elves rock, especially the Noldor units. They are kick ass. I think I might want to try and play it later. Alright, I’m giving up. I can’t keep this up. I just finished up at the 4 minute mark and you probably read this whole post in less than that time. Random words put together: tomato bell wishes, trombone cow shoelaces, and galaxy ghost plunger. I know that this post is gonna be a total piece of crap when it’s finished, but whatever. I am being totally brain dead after the past week I had. I can’t wait for this weekend. I’m really excited!!!!!!!
THE END. Tah-dah!
Maybe next time you should wear a helmet… mouth guard.
Movies, TV, Video November 28th, 2007
Slow day today. I think I’ll go see Enchanted tomorrow. I’m totally up for a movie that has the guy who played Cyclops dress up as a prince and sing in modern day New York City.
Watched more of the O.C. today. Got finished with the whole Oliver saga… God, I love all the characters but Marissa’s. I mean, she’s a beautiful girl and all, but she is so self-destructive, immature, and ignorant. She sends all the wrong signals to Ryan and he’s always trying to do right by her, but the whole thing with Oliver just made me crazy. How can she not see how obsessed he is with her? She should have just trusted Ryan from the start… I can understand how he could have looked like he was jealous, but when I’m seeing Oliver’s true nature… GAH! I wanted to hit Marissa upside the head so bad. She totally doesn’t deserve a dude like Ryan.
And now I’m also at the point where Seth is totally with Summer now. At first he was with Anna, but he was still obviously having feelings for Summer. So much so that he always spent more attention to her than his supposed girlfriend, Anna. I felt so bad for Anna because of Seth’s treatment of her. There he is at his house, supposedly spending time with his girlfriend, but instead she’s stuck next to him while he’s introducing Summer to the awesomeness of Watchmen and The Dark Knight Returns. I can totally understand her frustration when she finally gets him alone and away from Summer.
Seth: You know how excited I get turning people on to comics.
Anna: I know how excited you get turning Summer on.
And the post title is from one of my favorite episodes, The Heartbreak. And now I can’t get “Hello Sunshine” by Super Furry Animals out of my head. hehehe… The music selections for the show are just the best…

By the end of the night, she might know my first name
TV November 27th, 2007
Yay! My love for the O.C. has been renewed! The first season is the best. I spent most of the day watching it on DVD (but damn, I really wish for a job instead). Watching it felt like I was seeing it for the first time. Right from the beginning at the start of the pilot episode, I was reminded of why the show was so awesome—the writing, the music, and especially the characters. Ryan is awesome. Sandy is awesome. Seth is awesome. Kirsten is awesome. Summer is awesome. Luke is awesome. Marissa… eh, she’s a pain the a butt, but the show wouldn’t be what it is without her.
My favorite storyline has to be Seth trying to win Summer’s affection. A big geek into comic books and video games and very, very far from her radar, he finally gets an in when Ryan, the hot bad ass who got arrested for stealing a car, arrives on the scene. It’s so hilarious how Seth tries really hard to get Summer’s attention while she obviously has no interest in him. But it is just so great when this little scene happens (keep in mind that she has no idea he likes her, but she’s just using him to meet older, rich guys; and by this point he’s fed up with it):
Seth: Do you have any idea how pathetic it is to listen to you talk about mergers while some guy just stares at your boobs?
Summer: Which guy was staring at my boobs?
Seth: Who cares? The point is if that guy doesn’t know you, he doesn’t care who you really are. He has no idea that every day of third grade, you shared your lunch with that little skinny squirrel who kept getting his nuts stolen by that fat squirrel.
Summer: I hated that mean squirrel.
Seth: And, none of those guys were there when you had to read your poem out loud in class and your hand was shaking because you were nervous and you cared what the other kids thought.
Summer: Poem? What poem?
Seth: I Wish I Was A Mermaid.
Summer: You remember that? That was, like, sixth grade.
Seth: “I wish I was a mermaid and was friends with all the fish, a shiny tail and seashells, that’s…â€
Summer kisses Seth
Seth:  what I would wish.
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww… damn my weakness for romantic scenes.
Now keep in mind they aren’t officially together at this point, and Summer just continues to reject his advances afterwards. But it just gets more awesome for Seth when Anna comes into the picture. Seth attempting to handle two girls coming after him is just priceless—he just doesn’t know how to go from shy loner to having the attention of two beautiful girls. And personally, I’d pick Anna… Samaire Armstrong, who plays her, is just so cute and hot. :X
The show makes some awesome geek references to Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and others (courtesy of cool geek, Seth Cohen). It probably is due in part to Allan Heinberg, one of the writers/producers for the show. He later on took on a project for Marvel Comics and created one of my favorite comics, Young Avengers. Yay for comics!
Right now I’m only on disc 3 of 7, so I still have plenty to watch…
