Shit.
Sorry about that. I can’t believe I went about two weeks without posting anything. My absence didn’t seem to bother anyone that much (except for my one close friend).
Anyway. The deal lately was I’ve been scrambling to find a new job as well as focus on my future. All job prospects have been met with “you need more out-of-school experience.” So you can imagine my frustrations. I was actually quite depressed for a while until I got some encouragement recently.
I sort of had the idea in my head, but my friend actually helped solidify my decision to do it. After my last day (next Friday, 09/28), I am totally going to do some traveling. Out of the country? Eh, I don’t think I’m quite ready to do that on my own just yet… but some jumps around the U.S. will work just as well. First and foremost, I need to secure my next job. And I am fairly confident in myself to work it out so that I can start sometime in November. This will give me at least 3 weeks to relax and unwind. I have savings, but I’ll also be getting severance pay, so I don’t think money will be a problem.
This leads me to my next question: Where to go? Well I have family all over the place, so I think I need to contact them right away and see if it’s ideal for me to pop by and visit them. Places I want to go to: New York City, NY (have cousins there); Merritt Island, FL (we got a house there); Chicago, IL (family); California (have family around Burbank, and I also have a friend in Cedarville)… I have about one week to plan this, unless I secure a job that will wait for me until mid-November. If you have some ideas, send them my way. And give me your address (via the Contact page, of course) so I can send you postcards. ;D
Hopefully, the next time I post, it’ll be about my next exciting job! Wish me luck!
