They Don’t Make ‘Em Like They Used To

I just finished watching Beauty and the Beast by Disney on DVD. It’s been a couple years since I last saw it.

Wow. This movie is so awesome. I’m a fan of animation, and the production was high quality. I’d have to say the best moments are when the Beast was emoting. His expressions are priceless. The best thing about the film has to be the music of course. It’s got so many wonderful songs that I remember listening to as a kid. And they are just as good as an adult.

There aren’t that many drawn animated films anymore. Not that I don’t appreciate the computer generated ones just as much, but classics like Beauty and the Beast, the Little Mermaid, and the Lion King are testaments to the power of drawn animation. And hell… I’ll admit it. I think the Princess movies are cool. >:P I’m looking very forward to Rapunzel and The Princess and the Frog.

Yep. That’s the good shit.

  1. remember this scene from Aladdin?

  2. I love how you’re man enough to admit that you like Disney princess movies. You’re my hero Jay. lol.

  3. lol, I’m not ashamed to admit it, jess. Whoever says they didn’t love the Disney movies when they were a kid are total liars… or they simply lack a human soul.

  4. “An in-joke among animators working on the film circulated about Gaston being the hunter responsible for the death of Bambi’s mother.”

Oh Wikipedia… thank you for so much useless trivia.

  5. Gaston is the type of jerk that would do such a thing. >:(

And now a picture of some of the famous Disney Princesses:
