Nothing too long this time around. Just wanted to put down some thoughts that have been nagging me…
- I’m beginning to seriously consider applying to grad school now… and I am beginning to think that I’d like attending Georgetown University. But ewww… expensive. But wow. It’s right by the fun part of D.C. And I’m really missing the college scene. I think I’ll start the process of finding if going there is a good fit and possibility for me by next fall…
- And that also depends on my future job. I’ve known for a while now that I’ll have to leave my current job… lol, it also doesn’t help that I’ve just been handed a packet at work with a pamphlet titled: Surviving A Layoff. So, maybe if I want to make Georgetown University happen, I should consider looking for jobs in and around D.C. Time to get serious and also start looking up those contacts…
- Also, the house I’m staying in now is about to get some overhauls. By August, I should have it to myself (my aunt and cousin will move in with my parents down the street), and I can have at least 3 roommates. It’ll be awesome to live with friends again. I just need to get started on planning the transition with those interested in staying with me. And I’ll be renting. I had previously wanted to own a house, but I think with grad school in my immediate plans, the timing isn’t right.
I haven’t talked with anyone about these plans yet, since I’ve just had them the past few days… it’ll be interesting to read this post a year from now and see how I measure to my expectations.
EDIT: It’s about 11:30pm. I just got back home. I saw I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry with a friend. Cute and funny movie. Jessica Biel was hot. Afterwards, I somehow ended up in downtown Annapolis. I walked around a little bit, thinking about things that have transpired over the summer, until I decided to go into The Federal House since they had some live music playing. To my surprise, someone from high school recognized me as I came inside. lol, I was flattered she remembered me at all. Thank goodness for facebook; I knew her name at least when I saw her. Still looking good too. The band, The Grilled Lincolns, was actually pretty good. Kind of remind me a little bit of 311. My friend who moved out to California also called me… I probably shouldn’t have answered it since I could hardly hear or speak to him over the music.
Sorry, dude! I bought a CD from the fellow St. Mary’s alumnus before I left. She was promoting the band apparently. I listened to it on the way home. hmmm… I am still a little buzzed from the Miller Light, sooooo… I think I’ll get to bed.
