D.C. & Delaware

Here’s a rundown of my weekend to keep for posterity:

On Friday:

  • Went to downtown D.C. in the late afternoon.
  • Hung out for a while at this bar on the top of a roof.
  • Met a guy who teaches at a public elementary school somewhere. Later, he admits that he used to manage dancers… aka strippers. lol
  • The bar a couple floors below inside the building was setting up for the night’s apparent S&M party. Lots of pictures were on the walls reminding me of the Suicide Girls. As we exited the building, we see the crowd of goths in their black pleather, tall boots, and other outfits too wild for me to describe.
  • We walk across the street to this bar/restaraunt/bowling alley to get something to eat.
  • After a couple hours of eating, drinking, and chitchat, we walk to Posh. Some type of lounge and restaraunt, it wasn’t really my kind of place, since there was an unusually large number of older people present (by older I mean they must be in their middle ages). Too much lighting for my tastes, but the music was good enough.
  • Had a couple more Jack and Cokes and hung out until the place closed for the night (at around 2AM, I think).
  • Before we left, I got a glass of water and tipped the bartender a dollar. He was like REALLY appreciative of it, too. Seems not a lot people tipped him that night. :( I learned a while ago to always tip the bartenders, even for water. He was a cool guy though.
  • Got a bag of free stuff from the place as we left. It included a cap, keychain, those rubber bracelets, and even a CD.
  • As we were walking to the car of this girl we met, we got into talking about her job: professional masseuse. Hehe, she says she has lots of stories: men proposing to marry her, women proposing to her, guys who get… “aroused” from her sessions. lol omg, she said she’s never been asked for a ‘happy ending,’ but would do one if paid enough money. hahaha
  • After we walked her to her car, we made our way back to the garage then home.

On Saturday:

  • Woke up near noon and drove back to Annapolis, took a shower, and ate lunch.
  • Decided to drive out to Delaware to see my cousin and her baby son, my soon-to-be godson.
  • Traffic on 95. I got sleepy and had to pull over at the rest area to take a nap.
  • Made it there in the afternoon. My cousin and I hung out for a little while before we headed out to this festival at the church.
  • Once we arrived, the Philippino-American Association of Delaware had a little parade with young kids to adults dressed up in dresses and suits. Very gwapo and maganda… lol I saw my cousin’s friend walk whom I’ve had a crush on when I was a kid. She looked very beautiful in her gown.
  • Ate a lot of food and had a couple beers. Got carded 1 out of 2 times. heh.
  • My aunt and her band performed throughout the evening. I always enjoy listening to them whenever I visit.
  • Didn’t ride any rides, but I had funnel cake…
  • Left at around 9PM and slept at their house for the night. Was going to go see Transformers, but I was too tired.

On Sunday:

  • Didn’t do that much… went out to the mall and my cousin bought me a nice, new shirt for my birthday. :D
  • Ate lunch at a Chinese buffet place. It was family friend’s baby’s baptism celebration. Hey, free food is free food.
  • Got real full and took a nap at the house for the rest of the afternoon.
  • I was gonna read the next book, but I had brought the wrong one. >:(
  • Ate a quick dinner then drove back home to Annapolis in the sucky rain.

I have a busy week ahead of me as well. I’m all alone in Annapolis and I have to watch the parents’ house while everyone went down to Florida. I actually have to install a new mailbox there since some jerks knocked it and the post out of the ground. I also have to clean and move stuff between both houses by myself… lots and lots to do…

I needed to get out of the house for the weekend since I felt kind of low. I think I was a big jerk to someone lately… It made me feel pretty bad about myself. It actually hung over my head throughout the whole weekend. Hopefully I’ll work up the nerve to talk to them about it… If they’re reading this—and they probably are—I’m really sorry. I was getting a bit selfish and ahead of myself, and I really want to say I’m sorry if I made you feel bad in any way…
